In-Clinic Diagnostics
When your pet is sick or not feeling well, our veterinarian may conduct blood tests, lab tests, or diagnostic procedures to help determine what is wrong and how serious it is. These test results help us identify the cause of illness and plan a course of treatment.
Gosling Road Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of diagnostic capabilities both in-house and through the use of external laboratories. We also work with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. Some of the tests that we conduct include standard blood chemistry panels, complete blood counts, T4 testing, heartworm testing, feline leukemia/immune deficiency viral tests, parvo viral testing, fecal flotation/smears, cytologies (ear, mucus, aspirate), as well as digital x-rays.
Many of these tests can be processed in-house within 15-20 minutes or within the appointment time frame. We can also conduct urinalysis, check phenobarbital levels, as well as health checks using IDEXX laboratories and typically get the results the next day.
