Digital radiography is a tool that provides digital radiographic images on a high-resolution monitor that are instantly ready for viewing.
The images produced with this digital technique help our veterinarian check internal organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys for disease and conditions such as pneumonia. It also helps us to inspect areas such as the abdomen and intestinal tract for foreign objects and obstructions, to detect masses, and discover pregnancies. Additionally, our doctor can determine the severity of orthopedic injuries such as breaks and fractures, diagnose chronic arthritis, and certain spinal cord diseases.
Painless, safe, and non-invasive, digital radiography provides images much faster and with greater clarity than traditional x-rays. The digital images can be manipulated, enhanced, and contrasted, enabling us to diagnose a condition more accurately.
